Job summary

Repton School invites applications for a Level 2 Swim Instructor at Repton Swim School to run safe, engaging swimming lessons for children.

You will plan and deliver lessons in line with Swim England’s Learn to Swim stages, follow the Repton teaching standards, assess progress, and provide feedback. Casual hours on weekends at Willington Rd, Repton, with a rate of £22.32 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Swim Instructor qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver safe lessons.
• Deliver lessons in line with Swim England Learn to Swim stages and Repton standards.
• Provide demonstrations and explanations of swimming techniques; correct faults.
• Regularly assess children and provide feedback; update progress on the online portal.
• Differentiate/adapt lessons to all users; maintain a positive working environment.
• Adhere to risk assessments and safeguarding policies.

Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Level 2 Swim Instructor for Repton Swim School. To work as a Level 2 Swim Instructor for Repton Swim School, you will run successful and safe swimming lessons for the children of the swim school.

You will be expected to plan and deliver swimming lessons in line with Swim England’s learn to swim stages and following the Repton standards of teaching. Additionally, to this you will be expected to provide demonstrations and explanations of swimming techniques, correct faults and identify ways to improve performance.

Furthermore, regularly assessing the children and providing feedback will be a key part of your role and updating the children’s progress on their online portal.
