Job summary

Ellesmere College in Leicester is seeking a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive special school team. The role is 30 hours per week across 39 weeks per year (term time + 1 week) with a training component included in working hours.

You will support pupils aged 4-19 with a range of learning difficulties, adapt approaches to individual needs, and work closely with teachers and other specialists to promote inclusive learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent, evidenced.
• Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
• Experience with special needs desirable; training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support students’ learning and development in the classroom and beyond.
• Adapt approach to meet individual needs and learning styles.
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to plan and deliver activities.
