The successful candidate will hold a Level 2 Early Years qualification, have nursery experience, and demonstrate a stable employment history. A nurturing approach and strong teamwork are essential to support children’s development in EYFS frameworks.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Stable employment history with longevity in previous roles.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
• Strong safeguarding understanding.
• Experience supporting children's learning and development.
• Confidence planning engaging, age-appropriate experiences.
• Warm, reliable, and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, child-centred care and education.
• Create a safe, secure and inclusive environment for every child.
• Plan activities around children's interests, development and next steps.
• Encourage children to build confidence, independence and curiosity.
• Make full use of the nursery's indoor and outdoor learning environments.
• Complete observations and maintain accurate development records.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain consistent standards across the nursery.
