Smile Education is recruiting for a Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant in Middlesbrough, starting September 2026. The role is term-time with 5 training days, 39 weeks per year, and pays £95–£110 per day depending on experience.

The post supports the EYFS team, delivering engaging activities and helping children grow confidence, resilience and curiosity. DBS with Update Service and references are required, along with the right to work in the UK.

Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant – September Start

Location: Middlesbrough
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: 39 weeks per year (Term Time Only + 5 Training Days)
Pay: £95–£110 per day (depending on experience)

Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Middlesbrough for a dedicated Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September.

The Role

• Support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Essential Requirements

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply and pay for a new DBS.

• Right to work in the UK.
