Job summary

Academics are seeking a Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Latchford, Warrington. You will support early years learners with literacy, numeracy and communication in a nurturing environment.

The role involves play-based activities, safeguarding, and observations to monitor progress. The position is part-time, term-time with INSET days, 32.5 hours per week, 8:30am-3:30pm.

Qualifications

• Having a Level 2 EY qualification or equivalent is required.
• GCSE English and Maths (4/C or above) are expected.
• Experience in Early Years or primary settings is preferred.

Location: Latchford, Warrington
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

What we're looking for

To be considered for this Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant role, you will need:

• A recognised Level 2 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with young children in an Early Years or primary school setting.
• An understanding of the EYFS and how children learn through play.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and a commitment to promoting children's welfare.
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A Level 3 qualification or experience supporting children with additional needs and contributing to EYFS observations would be an advantage.
