Job summary

Academics are currently looking for dedicated and qualified Early Years Teaching Assistants to join our team across partnership nurseries and mainstream primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire.

These temporary opportunities offer varied experience, a flexible work pattern (full- or part-time), and a focus on safeguarding with Enhanced DBS checks. Rates depend on experience and client requirements, and a dedicated consultant will support your career progress.

Qualifications

• A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).
• Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths Grade 4/C or above).
• Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or primary setting (UK).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside practitioners and teachers to deliver EYFS activities.
• Provide high standards of care in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Support children's early literacy, numeracy, communication, and personal development.
• Encourage independence, positive behaviour, and social interaction.
• Travel to partnership nurseries and primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire; on-day supply often with short notice.

Academics are currently looking for dedicated and qualified Early Years Teaching Assistants to join our team. You will work across our partnership nurseries and mainstream primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire.

Our temporary opportunities are ideal for Early Years staff who are seeking varied experience in a variety of nurseries and schools, a work-life balance, or those returning to the workforce on a full or part time flexible basis.

Responsibilities of a Early Years Teaching Assistant:

• Work alongside fellow practitioners and teachers to deliver fun EYFS appropriate lessons and activities.
• Provide high standards of care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Supporting children's early literacy, numeracy, communication, and personal development.
• To encourage independence, positive behaviour, and social interaction.
• Be happy to travel and to be able to get to our partnership nurseries and primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent & stuafordshire by 8.30am with sometimes only 30-60 minute's notice for our on the day supply requirements.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
• Paediatric First Aid (or to be willing to work towards).

Please be aware that your daily rate will be dependent upon experience, prior qualifications, training, and the client rate that is currently available.

For this role, candidates who apply must have:
