Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our Mottershead Drive team. You will create a warm, safe environment and deliver EYFS-aligned activities for 0-4 year olds.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-4.
• Plan and deliver play-based activities aligned with EYFS.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Monitor development and maintain child progress records for parents.
• Support daily nursery operations and uphold hygiene and safety standards.

Pay: £26,557 - £26,557 per Annum.£13.44 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 38 hours

About Our Nursery

The Old Station Nursery Mottershead is dedicated to creating a warm and inviting environment where children aged 0-4 start their early years education. Our outdoor learning area consists of three separated spaces that provide a mixture of surfaces, play equipment, resources and activities for all children to explore, including our very own ‘Buggingham Palace’. The Old Station Nursery, located at the end of Mottershead Drive near Innsworth Primary School, with plenty of on-street parking.

What Your Role Involves

As a valued member of our team, you’ll:

• Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
• Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others
