The Old Station Nursery Group is seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner for our Little Houghton location. The ideal candidate will possess a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be passionate about creating brighter futures for children.

Pay

£27,164.80 - £27,476.80 per annum based on experience (40 hours per week).

About Our Nursery

In the picturesque village of Little Houghton in Northamptonshire, Little Houghton Day Nursery offers a nurturing and enriching environment for children’s early education. The nursery has three rooms: a baby room for 0‑2 years, a toddler room for 2‑3 years, and a preschool room for 3‑5 years. It is located south of Northampton, off the A428, and is adjacent to the local church St Mary The Virgin. The nursery is within a short drive to other villages and is served by the village hopper bus route to Northampton Bus Station. Parking is available outside the nursery.

What Your Role Involves

• Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
• Support the day‑to‑day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
• Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
