Job summary

St John Vianney Catholic Primary School, Hartlepool is seeking a Learning and Care Practitioner to support pupils with their learning and care needs and help create a positive, engaging learning environment for all pupils.

Under the supervision of the class teacher and SENDCo, you will assist with day-to-day learning and care, prepare resources, support individual or small group work, and help maintain a safe and orderly classroom. A proactive, patient approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or classroom settings preferred.

Working under the direct supervision of the class teacher and the SENDCo, you will assist with day-to-day Learning and Care of pupils to supports them with their learning, and help maintain a safe and orderly environment. Your duties will include preparing resources, supporting individual or small group work, and encouraging pupils to stay focused and confident in their learning.

You'll also play a valuable role in promoting good behaviour, helping with classroom routines, and supporting the social and emotional development of pupils. Strong communication skills, patience, and a willingness to learn are key to success in this role.
