Job summary

Responsibilities

• Procure private rented sector properties for people who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, estate and letting agents, and other private sector suppliers.
• Negotiate terms to encourage landlords to let properties through Council schemes.
• Inspect and assess properties to meet Housing Act 2004 standards and other health and safety requirements.
• Advise landlords and tenants on Local Housing Allowance rules, benefits, and exemptions.
• Maintain accurate databases of landlords, enquiries and property availability.
