Job summary

OakNorth is scaling its lending business across the UK and US. We seek a Business Development Representative to join our Commercial Strategy team and own the front end of the lending pipeline.

You will generate new opportunities through Marketing-led, multi-channel outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn) and qualify inbound leads end to end, routing to Originators when appropriate. You will collaborate with Marketing to turn target segments into outreach, provide feedback on what works, and maintain

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in Sales/Business Development in banking/fintech.
• Finance grounding to understand/qualify a lead.
• Experience working to targets in outbound role.
• Credibility with senior people in business contexts.
• Organisational discipline and keeping records accurate.
• Clear, concise written English.

Responsibilities

• Generate new opportunities through multi-touch campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn).
• Qualify inbound leads end to end and route to Originator.
• Provide feedback to Marketing on what works and what to improve.
• Qualify with rigour against policies and credit appetite.
• Nurture relationships over time with prospects and referrers.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and weekly pipeline reporting.
• Collaborate shoulder to shoulder with Originators to refine lead quality.
