Job summary

Everyone Active – The Brentwood Centre is offering a 12-month apprenticeship as an Apprentice Recreation Assistant. The role combines on- and off-the-job training and leads to a Level 2 Leisure Team Member qualification.

You will gain a National Pool Lifeguard qualification during the course and must swim competently. The position requires day, evening and weekend work and involves an enhanced DBS check before starting.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship with on- and off-the-job training leading to Level 2 Leisure Team Member.
• You must be able to swim to a competent level for the lifeguard training.
• A DBS check is required before start date.
• Willingness to work day, evening and weekend shifts including public holidays.

APPRENTICE RECREATION ASSISTANT

Everyone Active is currently seeking an ambitious and self-motivated Individual to take on this role and who is ready to embrace our brand mission of 30 minutes of activity 5 times a week

This 12 month work based programme will include both on and off the job training and give you a Level 2 Leisure Team Member qualification.

We need an Apprentice Recreation Assistant who will…

• Want to learn to be an effective communicator with other team members

• Want to ensure high levels of cleanliness and housekeeping are maintained within the centre
• Ensure equipment setups are completed safely and on time

National Pool Lifeguard qualification will be gained during the course so you’ll need to be able to swim to a competent level. You’ll also achieve a swimming teacher and fitness qualification. This position will involve day, evening and weekend work, including public holidays and requires an enhanced DBS check which we will complete before you start.
