Legacy Leisure is offering an Leisure Team Member Apprentice at Kidlington & Gosford Leisure Centre. You will receive on-the-job training across lifeguarding, reception, teaching swimming, and fitness instruction, with a supportive team environment.

The apprenticeship develops a broad range of skills in centre operations, customer service and health and fitness, aiming to build a long-term career in leisure and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe and effective day-to-day running of the centre.

• Contribute to swimming lessons and fitness instruction as required.
• Deliver safe activities and help customers achieve health goals.

About this role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team at Kidlington & Gosford Leisure Centre as a Leisure Team Member Apprentice.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a broad range of skills and valuable experience within the leisure industry. You will work as part of our friendly team, the successful apprentice will receive on-the-job training and development across a number of areas of the leisure centre operation.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience in lifeguarding, reception and customer service, swimming teaching and fitness instruction. This gives you a solid foundation for a long-term career within the leisure and fitness industry.

Key Responsibilities

As a Leisure Team Member Apprentice, you will:

• Support the safe and effective day-to-day running of the centre
• Develop the skills and knowledge to work as a lifeguard, ensuring a safe environment for our customers
• Welcome customers to the centre and provide a friendly and professional service at all times
• Assist customers with enquiries, bookings, memberships and general administration duties as required
• Develop skills and knowledge in the teaching of swimming and support in swimming lessons as required
• Learn how to deliver safe activities to our customers
• Develop an understanding of fitness instruction and support our customers in achieving their health and fitness goals
• Maintain cleanliness across the centre
• Follow all company procedures, health and safety requirements and safeguarding procedures
• Work as part of a team effectively across the wider leisure centre
• Attend and complete all required training and assessments for your apprenticeship
• Take responsibility for your personal development

Essential requirement: Ability to swim 100m continuously on both front and back, complete 50m within 60 seconds, and confidently tread water for at least one minute.
