Job summary

eTeach UK Limited is hiring a Leisure Attendant in Weston-super-Mare to support sports facilities across Winterstoke Hundred Academy and Hans Price Academy. The role focuses on safe, welcoming environments and excellent customer service for students and community users.

You will work 30 hours per week, year-round, with an hourly rate of £13.45 plus holiday pay, starting 04 January 2027 pending pre-employment checks. Training and progression opportunities are provided within the academy trust.

Qualifications

• Has a strong awareness of health and safety, safeguarding and security procedures
• Can confidently supervise facility users and promote safe working practices
• Delivers excellent customer service and communicates professionally with a wide range of people
• Remains calm, approachable and solutions-focused when responding to queries or concerns
• Is practical and hands-on, with the ability to move and set up equipment safely
• Takes pride in maintaining clean, welcoming and well-presented facilities
• Is able to work independently and use initiative when required
• Demonstrates flexibility, reliability and a proactive approach to work
• Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to the working environment
• Is committed to equality, inclusion and ensuring a positive experience for all facility users
• Has experience working within a sport, leisure or educational environment (desirable)
• Holds a First Aid qualification, or is willing to undertake training (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Setting up and dismantling equipment for activities, events and facility hire bookings
• Supervising users and promoting the safe use of facilities
• Maintaining clean, tidy and welcoming environments, including changing rooms and indoor and outdoor spaces
• Carrying out routine facility inspections and basic equipment maintenance
• Delivering friendly, professional customer service to visitors, customers and community groups
• Supporting site security arrangements, including key-holder responsibilities where required
