Job summary

Capita is hiring a Leisure Attendant to support the Sports Centre Manager in daily operations, delivering excellent customer service, lifeguard duties, reception tasks, membership administration and first aid. You will help keep the centre safe and welcoming, manage stock, and lead by example across shifts, including weekends.

This role requires RLSS NPLQ qualification, a DBS check, and a proactive approach to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Be in possession or in the process of gaining an RLSS NPLQ qualification.
• Preferred experience within the Leisure industry or other suitable role.
• An interest in sport and the Leisure industry.
• Required to obtain an advanced DBS certificate as part of the process prior to offer.
• Competent swimmer

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sports Centre Manager in developing customer relationships and delivering a high-quality customer experience.
• Ensure excellent customer care and service delivery, handling complaints appropriately.
• Carry out lifeguarding duties in line with national standards as part of daily shifts.
• Participate in required training to remain competent for the role.
• Work shifts including weekends and assist in centre management across shifts.
• Support safety, cleanliness, and accessibility to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
• Lead by example and provide visible leadership to centre staff.
• Deliver gym inductions and fitness testing, advising customers and staff.
