South Norfolk and Broadland District Council is seeking a motivated Lifeguard at Wymondham Leisure Centre. The role involves supervising the pool and dry side areas, ensuring a safe and clean environment, and assisting with activities and tours for the public and schools.

Wymondham Leisure Centre has some of the best facilities in the area, and each week we run over 90 classes as well as a popular 50-week swim school programme. We are looking to welcome a motivated individual with an interest in swimming, fitness and wellbeing to join us. You will be a valued member of our busy team, will work a range of shifts and will provide excellent customer service to members of the public.
The role will involve supervising and maintaining cleanliness of the pool and dry side areas, ensuring a safe environment for all areas. You will also be involved in setting up activities within the centre, assisting with tours from the public and schools and ensuring our facility is clean, well run and ready for business.
Our teams work across our leisure centres, so you need to have your own means of transport and enjoy this flexible working style.
With an RLSS/NPLQ National Pool Lifeguard qualification (NPLQ), you will need good concentration skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with our customers. Previous experience in a leisure centre or similar environment, together with an awareness of Health & Safety and Safeguarding requirements within the leisure industry is desirable.
Please note that the shifts are a range of earlies, lates and weekends.
Please note the successful applicant will be subject to a swim test.
