Job summary

Search People is recruiting a Water Hygiene/Legionella Consultant for roles in the Manchester to Leeds area. You will undertake Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 and carry out water hygiene duties including sampling and temperature monitoring.

You will compile schematic drawings and client reports and advise on risk elimination and management. The role requires experience across multiple water systems, strong English communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting Legionella risk assessments.
• Familiar with ACOP L8, HTM 04-01 and related guidance.
• Experience across education, healthcare or commercial sectors desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella risk assessments per COSHH/ACOP L8/HTM 04-01/BS 8580-1.
• Produce drawings and client reports.
• Provide risk reduction recommendations.
• Present findings to clients in meetings.

Water Hygiene/Legionella Consultant – Manchester – Leeds

Our client is a leading residential and commercial property consultancy, they implement property and facilities management services across a large and varied portfolio.

They are recruiting for a Water Hygiene/Legionella Consultant tUndertaking legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines, as well as water hygiene duties including water sampling/temperature monitoring. Compiling schematic drawings, documents and reports for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with COSHH regulations / ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 / BS 8580 -1 2019
• Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents for clients/customers
• Providing recommendations for the elimination, reduction and management of risk
• Collating and producing comprehensive reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports

Key Skills

• Experience of carrying out Legionella risk assessments and ideally from a Legionella Consultancy background
• Suitable experience across multiple sectors is desirable (education / healthcare / commercial etc)
• Suitable experience across multiple water system types is desirable (evaporative cooling / hot and cold water systems / spa's and hot tubs / swimming pools
• An approved Legionella Risk Assessment qualification eg. City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc
• A good working knowledge of ACoP L8, HTM 04- 01 & other relevant Guidance Documents
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
• Excellent communication skills
• Be fluent in both verbal and written English

This is a permanent Role

Location: Sheffield, Leeds, Yorkshire

Salary: £30,000 - £45000
