Job description

Legal Assistant / Executive Administrator - Commercial Property

We're working alongside a leading North West law firm, recruiting an Legal Assistant / Executive Administrator to join their Commercial Property team. Based in Preston, you’ll support fee earners on various commercial property matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their legal career in a highly regarded firm.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Administer files (hard copy and SOS), including opening, closing, archiving, and data updates
  2. Prepare files for fee earners upon request
  3. Produce and file documents, copies, and scans
  4. Review departmental finances, liaise with clients on payments, manage billing, and coordinate with Finance
  5. Ensure file compliance with regulatory standards and office procedures
  6. Draft and issue correspondence as instructed by fee earners
  7. Attend meetings and take minutes when required
  8. Handle team calls, ensuring messages are passed promptly
  9. Manage diaries for team events and meetings, including booking and preparing materials
  10. Train new administrators as needed
  11. Liaise with other departments regarding operational issues
  12. Assist with general office administration, including reception, post, scanning, and archiving deeds
What we need from you:
  • 6-12 months' legal support experience in Conveyancing, Residential, or Commercial property
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A commercial mindset and ability to work under pressure
