Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Legal Secretary to join our clients dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to lawyers and legal professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of the office. This role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast–paced environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports with precision.
  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings for legal staff.
  • Conduct audio typing of dictations and transcribe legal documents accurately.
  • Maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper–based, ensuring all documents are organised and easily accessible.
  • Assist with the preparation of case files and documentation for court proceedings.
  • Liaise with clients, courts, and other legal professionals in a professional manner.
  • Utilise IT systems to manage data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform general office duties such as answering phones, managing emails, and ordering supplies.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
  • Strong audio typing skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
