Job summary

Heriot Brown In-House Legal Recruitment is assisting a leading international natural resources business in finding a lawyer to drive the hands-on CLM implementation, including workflow design, testing, migration and adoption, while delivering a solid commercial contracting workload across several French-speaking jurisdictions.

You will draft and negotiate English and French contracts, advise on performance, variations and early disputes, and contribute to quarterly risk reporting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CLM implementation experience required.
• Solid commercial contracting background in natural resources or energy.
• Fluent English and French; ability to draft and negotiate in both.
• Strong project management and stakeholder skills.
• Experience in emerging markets is advantageous; M&A experience helpful but secondary.

Job description

A leading international natural resources business is looking for a lawyer to support the implementation of its new contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform. The role combines delivery of the CLM programme with a meaningful commercial contracting workload, supporting operations across several French-speaking jurisdictions.

What the client needs

The priority is hands-on CLM implementation experience: direct involvement in workflow and template design, testing, migration, training and adoption, rather than high-level oversight. This sits alongside solid commercial contracting skills.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with private practice and/or in-house experience;
• Demonstrable hands-on experience of a CLM implementation or legal transformation project;
• Strong commercial contracting background, ideally in natural resources, energy or another operational industry;
• Fluent French and English, with the ability to draft and negotiate in both;
• Strong project management and stakeholder skills;
• Experience of working in emerging markets is advantageous; M&A experience is helpful but secondary.
