DWF in the UK is seeking a Legal Director for the Property Damage team to lead a complex load of insurance property disputes across FPPD, TPPD, policy coverage and subrogated recoveries. This role can be based in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool or Birmingham, with hybrid working.
You will manage your own caseload, guide junior lawyers, and coordinate with clients to meet SLAs, while applying technical expertise in Commercial Insurance and delivering results under deadlines.
Property Damage to join the team in Manchester.The Commercial Insurance team work with a prestigious client base and handle a varied caseload of complex insurance property related disputes including, first party property damage (FPPD), third party property damage (TPPD), product liability, policy coverage and subrogated recoveries.This role can be based in any of our regional offices including Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool or Birmingham with the option of our hybrid working arrangement.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Legal Director in the Property Damage team, you will engage in a wide range of activities, such as:To manage your own caseload of property related claimsUnderstand client requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practiceAnalyse risk and further develop sound judgement enabling the justification of decisions to clients internally and externallyPrioritise work effectively and to maximise efficiency in working practicesUnderstand individual role in the context of the practice group and pro-actively seek to contribute to increased efficiency in developing a case load appropriate to level of technical, legal knowledge;Build working relationships internally and externally in order to develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the Firm’s direction and client needs;To provide support and act as the 'go to person' for more junior members in the team
