Job summary

DWF, a leading global provider of integrated legal and business services, is expanding its Commercial Insurance practice to advise on property damage claims. The role can be based in any regional office including Liverpool with a hybrid working arrangement.

You will advise on first‑party property damage, third‑party property damage, product liability, policy coverage and subrogated recoveries, working with a prestigious client base and handling a varied caseload.

Qualifications

• Experience handling insurance property related caseloads including third‑party property damage and policy coverage.
• Strong interest and technical expertise in Commercial Insurance matters.
• Proven track record delivering results within strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of property related claims and assist on large loss matters.

• Analyse risks and justify decisions to clients internally and externally.
• Prioritise work to maximise efficiency in processes.

• Provide support and act as a go-to person for more junior team members.

DWF are expanding our Commercial Insurance team and we are seeking a Solicitor or Associate to advise in the field of property damage claims. The Commercial Insurance team work with a prestigious client base and handle a varied caseload of complex insurance‑related property disputes, including first‑party property damage (FPPD), third‑party property damage (TPPD), product liability, policy coverage, and subrogated recoveries. This role can be based in any of our regional offices including Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool or Birmingham with the option of our hybrid working arrangement.

Responsibilities

• To manage your own caseload of property related claims, and also assist as a part of a wider team on various large loss matters.
• Understand client requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice.
• Analyse risk and further develop sound judgement enabling the justification of decisions to clients internally and externally.
• Prioritise work effectively and to maximise efficiency in working practices.
• Build working relationships internally and externally in order to develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the Firm’s direction and client needs.
• To provide support and act as the 'go to person' for more junior members in the team.

Essential

• Prior experience handling or assistant with an insurance property related caseload, including third‑party property damage and/or policy coverage, as well as product liability and subrogated recoveries.
• Technical expertise and a strong interest in Commercial Insurance matters generally.
• A proven track record of delivering results within strict deadlines and timeframes.
• The ability to communicate and manage often complex issues for both internal and external stakeholders.
• A self‑motivated individual who can also effectively coach and develop others within the team.
