Job summary

DWF, a leading global provider of legal and business services, is hiring a Legal Director to lead the Property Damage within the Commercial Insurance team. The role offers a hybrid arrangement across Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool or Birmingham.

You will manage your own caseload of property damage claims, advise clients, analyse risk, and drive cases to timely resolutions while mentoring junior team members. The candidate should have 5+ years PQE in insurance property work, experience with

• Property Damage to join the team in Manchester.The Commercial Insurance team work with a prestigious client base and handle a varied caseload of complex insurance property related disputes including, first party property damage (FPPD), third party property damage (TPPD), product liability, policy coverage and subrogated recoveries.This role can be based in any of our regional offices including Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool or Birmingham with the option of our hybrid working arrangement. ResponsibilitiesAs a Legal Director in the Property Damage team, you will engage in a wide range of activities, such as:To manage your own caseload of property related claimsUnderstand client requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practiceAnalyse risk and further develop sound judgement enabling the justification of decisions to clients internally and externallyPrioritise work effectively and to maximise efficiency in working practicesUnderstand individual role in the context of the practice group and pro-actively seek to contribute to increased efficiency in developing a case load appropriate to level of technical, legal knowledge;Build working relationships internally and externally in order to develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the Firm’s direction and client needs;To provide support and act as the 'go to person' for more junior members in the teamWhat will help you succeed in this role?
