Job Description:

The successful candidate would join the Communications Regulatory part of the "Consumer/Communications/Commercial Content Regulatory" team which plays an important role in our European Legal team. The team works on a wide range of complex and high profile issues, in a fast-paced environment, working across a range of consumer, communications and commercial content areas.

Responsibilities:

1. Supporting business teams to ensure ongoing compliance with new and existing legislation across the Europe region.
2. Supporting our product legal team to review new products and features against relevant law and guidance.
3. Ensuring the consistent handling of regulatory enquiries and investigations.
4. Assessing risk and coordinating with the wider business as a trusted adviser on compliance and risk management issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Relevant experience of advising on EEA and/or UK electronic communications service regulatory matters, privacy, security.
2. In-house or private practice experience of advising on various regulatory matters, providing risk and compliance advice, engagement with regulators, regulatory investigations, consultations, implementation of new laws.
3. Relevant experience of advising on multi-jurisdictional regulatory matters in Europe.
4. In-house experience of advising on digital regulation in the EEA and/or UK.
5. Good knowledge of the EEA and/or UK electronic communications services regulatory legal framework.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Ability to work on a wide range of complex and high profile issues, in a fast-paced environment, working across a range of telecoms regulatory issues.
2. Ability to take responsibility and drive forward matters independently (with ad hoc support from manager, as needed).
3. Ability to engage and form good relationships with a wide range of other legal and business stakeholders and multi-task more generally.
4. Willingness to learn and get up to speed on a wide range of European communications regulatory rules which we work with day to day.
