This is a fantastic opportunity for a Media Lawyer to play an integral part within the legal function of an expanding start-up in the Sports sector.

With close links to various international Sports Championships, this exciting project is tipped to be a global Sports powerhouse in the coming years, with huge support from investors in Europe, the Middle East and the US.

The business have been endorsed by various global sports stars, who are supporting their vision and foresee them to be a new sporting phenomenon.

This business has Sustainability at the forefront of their mission, having recently announced a partnership with a world-renowned Environmental Services business, it is their aim to ensure that their brand has a positive impact to local communities and the natural world.

The role:

This role is suitable for a Media Lawyer who is looking to play an integral part within an exciting start-up in the Sustainable Sports sector.

As Legal Counsel, you will provide commercially focused legal advice on a wide variety of legal areas. You will be instrumental in the drafting and negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements, including; sports media rights agreements, from buy and/or sell side, sponsorship agreements, licensing agreements, commission agreements, digital services framework agreements, hospitality contracts and much more.

You will be part of a team of 3, working under the businesses' General Counsel who has a breadth of experience in the Sports industry. You will also be involved with a handful of commercial tasks, such as IP, Operations and supporting the Sustainability team.

They are looking for someone with a solid commercial/media background. It is also essential for you to have worked with global broadcasters and content distributors, are familiar with legal and regulatory issues pertaining to sports broadcast and media rights, and experience of sports production matters.

The ideal candidate:

Media/Commercial Solicitor with 3+PQE and In-House experience for a Media business

Excellent drafting skills and knowledge of the Media sector

Experience in Sports is advantageous
