Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Legal Counsel for a major organisation leading the UK's energy transition and infrastructure initiatives in London. This permanent role blends commercial and regulatory legal work across energy, engineering, construction and financing.

You will advise on complex contracts, draft and negotiate agreements, support governance matters, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external advisers to ensure compliance and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Qualified as solicitor, barrister or equivalent.
• Experience in energy, infrastructure, engineering/construction, low-carbon or renewable energy sectors.
• Strong drafting and negotiation capabilities.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive and commercially focused legal support across major energy and infrastructure projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts and legal documentation.
• Advise on engineering and construction agreements, including major project delivery contracts.
• Support negotiations with contractors, project partners, government bodies and other third parties.
• Advise on real estate, planning and consenting matters related to infrastructure development.
• Assist with project financing, investment and corporate transactions.
• Support acquisition and divestment activity as required.
• Assist with corporate governance and company secretarial activities.
• Assist with dispute resolution, including litigation, arbitration, mediation and expert determination.
