Job summary

An established industry player in the Oil & Gas/Energy sector is seeking a skilled Employment Law Advisor for a 6-month hybrid contract. This role involves providing expert advisory services on UK Employment Law, managing individual cases, and supporting strategic HR projects. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of PQE with strong advisory experience in UK Employment Law.
  • Knowledgeable in redundancy law and TUPE, able to manage caseload independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day advisory on UK Employment Law matters.
  • Support HR team with individual case management and employee relations scenarios.
  • Assist in HR policy formulation and managing employment litigation.

We have a fantastic opportunity with a leading Oil & Gas/Energy client, offering the chance to join their team for an initial 6-month contract (with potential to extend to 9-12 months)!

? Start Date: Beginning of June

Duration: At least 6 months (with the possibility to extend)

? Full-time

? Hybrid Role: 3 days a week in the office (Central London)

? Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day advisory on UK Employment Law matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance improvement, and sickness absence.
  • Provide extensive individual case management to the HR team, supporting various employee relations scenarios.
  • Support on projects such as redundancies, TUPE, and reorganisation work.
  • Assist in HR policy formulation and provide strategic input into managing employment litigation in UK tribunals.

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 3 years’ PQE (though we're open to more senior candidates with relevant experience)
  • Strong advisory experience in UK Employment Law (disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in redundancy law, TUPE, and employment tribunals
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with the wider team.
