Job Description:

Simmons and Hanbury have been instructed by one of the world's leading publishing groups on a Legal Counsel (12 month FTC) hire into their top-tier legal team in London.

Key Responsibilities

As Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the legal and compliance standards of the group both regionally and globally. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing legal assistance on a broad range of commercial, IP, and licensing agreements across the group.
• Working closely with business advisors, providing legal advice to assist them in their decision-making.
• Playing a crucial role in the success and development of the General Counsel's office at the group level.

Requirements include:

• 4+ years PQE with training from an established commercial practice at a leading UK/US law firm or in-house.
• European qualified lawyer with a strong academic record.
• Experience in contract drafting, negotiating, and advising on privacy/GDPR topics.
