Job summary

Thales Belfast is seeking a Legal Counsel for the Products & Regulation team to provide practical, commercially-focused legal advice on product development, regulatory compliance and associated risk. You will work with product, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure compliance across markets.

The ideal candidate is an EU/UK qualified lawyer with 8+ years post-qualification experience, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a track record of implementing robust compliance

Qualifications

• EU/UK practising lawyer with 8+ years post-qualification experience in a top-tier firm or regulatory advisory role.
• Deep knowledge of EU regulations and regulatory change frameworks.
• Proven ability to develop and implement compliance policies in complex regulatory environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; collaborative across teams.

Responsibilities

• Research and monitor product-related legislation, regulatory developments and industry standards.
• Support legal reviews of new and existing products, features, documentation and customer communications.
• Draft and review contracts, policies, guidance, templates and regulatory submissions.
• Provide clear, practical advice to internal stakeholders and help identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
• Support compliance projects, training and the maintenance of legal know-how resources.
