Legal Associate – Aviation Leasing & Finance | London

A leading global aviation lessor is looking to hire a Transaction Legal Associate to join its Aviation Legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across complex cross-border transactions in a fast-paced, international environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting aircraft and engine leasing, acquisition, financing, and restructuring transactions while contributing to post-delivery portfolio management. You will work closely with internal deal teams and collaborate across legal, commercial, technical, and finance functions throughout the full transaction lifecycle — from LOI through to closing and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support on aircraft and engine leasing, acquisition, financing, and sale transactions.
• Assist in negotiating and managing transaction documentation, ensuring alignment with internal policies and timelines.
• Support portfolio management activities, including restructurings, repossessions, defaults, and maintenance agreements.
• Manage transaction records and ensure accurate and timely updates across internal systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in multiple jurisdictions to deliver smooth transaction execution.

Candidate Profile:

• 1–3 years of experience in a transactional legal role, ideally within aviation leasing, financial services, or structured finance.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage competing deadlines.
• A collaborative mindset with experience working across multi-disciplinary teams.
