Description du poste

Join us to help us grow our impact for people and the pets they love. For over a century, PDSA has provided vital veterinary care for the pets of people experiencing financial hardship. We're now on a journey to expand our reach and support even more pet owners and their beloved companions.

To achieve that ambition, we're investing in our fundraising capability and creating meaningful supporter experiences that inspire lifelong connections to our cause. We're looking for people who are excited by change, passionate about making a difference, and motivated by the opportunity to help shape the future of an organisation that exists to improve the lives of pets and the people who love them.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Philanthropy team as a Legacy Stewardship Manager, leading the development of how we engage, recognise and inspire supporters who choose to leave a gift in their Will.

What makes this role particularly exciting is that we're not simply looking for someone to maintain an existing programme. We're looking for someone to shape the vision, create the strategy and build the future of legacy stewardship at PDSA. A key focus of the role will be the end-to-end management of the legacy supporter journey building meaningful relationships with potential and confirmed legacy pledgers at every stage, from initial enquiry and consideration through to pledge confirmation and ongoing stewardship. You'll develop clear, tailored supporter pathways that ensure every individual feels valued, informed and connected to PDSA's mission, wherever they are on their legacy journey.

Working closely with colleagues across Philanthropy, Legacy Marketing and Supporter Services, you'll help unlock the full potential of blended giving opportunities, creating stronger links between legacy supporters, major donors and wider philanthropic activity. We believe we've only scratched the surface of what's possible, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building, improving and influencing.

This role is predominantly home-based with flexibility to work remotely, alongside travel to supporter events, team meetings, pet hospitals and other PDSA locations across the UK when required.

About You

We're open to candidates who bring strong experience in legacy fundraising, supporter stewardship, or ideally a combination of both.

You may already be leading a legacy stewardship programme, or perhaps you're a stewardship specialist looking to step into a role with greater strategic ownership. What matters most is your ability to develop and manage meaningful supporter relationships across the full legacy journey from initial enquiry and consideration through to pledge confirmation and ongoing stewardship. You'll be confident creating tailored supporter experiences, developing strategies that nurture interest and build trust, and using insight to strengthen engagement and long-term loyalty.

You'll be someone who enjoys balancing strategy with delivery, can confidently build relationships with supporters and colleagues alike, and is motivated by the opportunity to create something with lasting impact.

You'll bring

  • Experience within legacy fundraising, stewardship, philanthropy or a closely related supporter engagement environment.
  • A track record of developing end-end supporter journeys, stewardship programmes or relationship management strategies with the ability to engage and nurture relationships with legacy enquirers, potential pledgers and confirmed pledgers at every stage.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage supporters through a variety of channels.
  • The confidence to influence stakeholders and collaborate across multiple teams.
  • A data-led approach, using insight and performance measures to inform decisions and demonstrate impact.
  • Experience managing budgets, projects or programmes.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional supporter experiences and creating meaningful connections with a cause.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 12 months, success in this role could include:

  • Creating a clear and compelling legacy stewardship strategy for PDSA.
  • Defining supporter pathways and engagement journeys for legacy enquirers, intenders and pledgers.
  • Building a tiered stewardship approach that creates deeper supporter connections and improves retention.
  • Strengthening collaboration across Philanthropy to maximise blended giving opportunities.
  • Delivering inspiring supporter experiences and events that increase engagement and advocacy.
  • Establishing meaningful performance measures and insight reporting that help demonstrate supporter impact and future income potential.

Why Join the Team?

You'll be joining a highly experienced, collaborative and supportive Philanthropy team that genuinely enjoys working together and helping each other succeed.

This is a role with significant opportunity to influence, innovate and leave a lasting legacy of your own. You'll have the freedom to bring fresh ideas, test new approaches and help shape how PDSA builds lifelong relationships with supporters who want to make a difference beyond their lifetime.

If you're looking for a role where strategy, relationship-building and purpose come together, we'd love to hear from you.

Rewards, Support and Benefits

We're really passionate about being a great place to work, somewhere people feel proud of what they do, connected to a meaningful purpose, and able to make a genuine difference every day. Our teams are collaborative and supportive, and we encourage everyone to bring their ideas, individuality and passion for pets to work with them.

As well as a rewarding role and a positive, people-focused culture, we also offer a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Flexible working options to support your work-life balance and individual circumstances.
  • 25 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to five additional days.
  • Volunteering Day, Celebration Day and Wellbeing Day each year.
  • Generous pension options, with PDSA contributions from 5% up to 10%.
  • Life assurance of four times annual salary.
  • AXA Health Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 wellbeing support.
  • Retail, holiday and lifestyle discounts through our Fetch benefits platform.
  • Enhanced family leave policies.
