Job summary

Legacy Sport Yorkshire is seeking an enthusiastic sports coach to inspire children through sport and physical activity. You will plan, deliver and assess coaching sessions across schools, after-school clubs and community projects, adapting to diverse needs and working with school PE leads to tailor programmes.

You will also lead community sessions and holiday provisions, design promotional materials, and help build partnerships with local clubs to expand participation.

Qualifications

• Plan, deliver and assess a wide range of engaging coaching sessions including PE lessons, after-school clubs and community sessions.
• Adapt sessions to suit pupils with different physical and learning needs.
• Collaborate with the PE lead at each school to tailor programmes to fit school needs.

Legacy Sport Yorkshire is looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable and reliable sports coach who is passionate about inspiring children through sport and physical activity.

Schools:

• Plan, deliver, and assess a wide range of engaging coaching sessions including but not limited to: PE lessons, after - school clubs, community sessions and other projects within the company.
• To be adaptable and have the ability to change sessions to suit a diverse range of pupils with different physical and learning needs.
• Liaise and collaborate with PE lead from each school to tailor programme to fit the school needs.
• Assist on competitions and event delivery, ensuring high standards at all times.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that embodies the ‘Legacy Way’ in all project areas.

Community and Holiday Provision

• Plan, design and distribute promotional material for your camp(s).
• Lead on and assist on community sessions and holiday provision.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where all children feel welcome.
• Regularly complete the minor accident, near miss and safeguarding log to ensure all LSY procedures are followed.
• Develop partnerships with local clubs to enhance sports participation pathway for children.

Safety and Risk Management:

• Ensure all sessions meet safety standards and safeguarding protocols.
• Respond appropriately to injuries and follow school/Legacy Sport procedures for reporting incidents
• Take ownership of ensuring adequate first aid provision is available at all sessions.
