Job summary

Britvic in Leeds is hiring a Shift Team Leader to oversee manufacturing operations with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and performance. You will lead a production team, drive continuous improvement and ensure customer satisfaction while complying with company standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, experience in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage resources, KPI delivery (OEE, yield, waste) and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety, Quality and Operational Excellence.
• Excellent problem-solving in fast-paced production.
• Experience in performance management and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a production team of 10–15.
• Demonstrate strong safety leadership, ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and PPE standards are consistently met.
• Plan and coordinate resources to deliver the production plan and achieve key operational KPIs, including OEE, reliability, yield and waste.
• Identify and resolve operational issues, promoting a “see it, own it, solve it” approach and supporting Continuous Improvement.
• Manage team performance, attendance, training and development, including regular 1:1s and clear objectives.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality and other support teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste, manage costs and improve operational efficiency.
