Job summary

New Directions Education Ltd in Leeds is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support partner schools across the area. The role is five days a week, with regular supply work and opportunities for longer-term placements.

You will deliver lessons when the class teacher is absent, run small group interventions, and support pupils across year groups while building strong relationships with staff and parents. A DBS check and a proactive, adaptable approach are required.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Leading small group interventions and targeted learning activities
• Supporting pupils across a range of year groups and abilities
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
