Job summary

Panda is seeking an experienced Class 1 Shunter Driver for our Leeds yard. This is a dedicated, internal role focusing on yard movements, vehicle handling, and maintaining safe operations.

You will shuttle Class 1 and other heavy vehicles around the site, arrange routine maintenance with local facilities, and ensure 45-hour weeks with a pay rate of £16.50 per hour. CPC not required, training provided.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Experience handling a variety of heavy vehicles (tippers, skips, hooklifts) is desirable.
• A reliable, practical, and safety-conscious approach to vehicle handling.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with the depot and workshop teams.

Responsibilities

• Moving and shunting fleet vehicles around the yard (including Class 1, Class 2, tippers, skips, and hooklifts).
• Dropping off and collecting vehicles from local facilities for scheduled maintenance, safety inspections, and MOTs.
• Ensuring the yard remains safe, organised, and clear for daily operations.
• Note: A Driver CPC is not required for this role.
