Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will assist the team with daily routines including personal care and feeding.

Candidates must have at least 6 months of care experience and demonstrate compassion.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers will help with daily patient care in homes, hospitals, or patients' own homes. They are vital team members in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you will work under nursing supervision alongside other healthcare assistants.

Your duties may include:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
• Assisting with feeding
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Helping patients move around
• Assisting with toileting and bedpans
• Maintaining cleanliness of the ward or patients' homes
• Managing supplies and equipment

Your daily work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
