Job summary

Lincoln College seeks an educator to prepare, deliver and assess high quality teaching within the Supported Education area. The role focuses on employability and transition from education to employment, delivering across programmes, engaging with employers and enriching college activities.

The post requires embedding literacy, numeracy and IT skills into learning, working with interns, parents and job coaches to monitor progress and outcomes, and leading reviews with stakeholders to clarify

Qualifications

Experience with SEND Code of Practice and implementation of reasonable adjustments in the workplace.
Ability to embed literacy, numeracy and IT skills into learning programmes.

Responsibilities

To prepare, deliver and assess high quality teaching and learning within the Supported Education area, ensuring excellent learner outcomes, progression and experience.
To plan and deliver across a range of programmes within Supported Education, supporting curriculum development and enrichment activities.
To create a structured, meaningful and engaging learning environment to support the transition from education to employment.
To plan and teach a comprehensive employability programme which equips interns for the working environment.
To assess, plan and monitor progress of interns towards individual targets and outcomes, working with parents, job coaches, placement coordinators, student services and employers to ensure a holistic approach.
To lead progress reviews in workplaces and college with stakeholders to ensure clarity regarding progress towards employment goals.
