Job summary

Leeds Trinity University is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist a visually impaired Senior Lecturer in Linguistics. The role involves teaching-related administrative tasks, attending meetings, and supporting research activities.

You will provide visual support, help with accessing software and online university systems, and ensure accessibility of books and journal articles. The post is fixed-term until 5 August 2028 (with possible extension subject to funding).

Qualifications

• Strong administrative skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions with great attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, able to learn new software and manage time efficiently.
• Experience in Higher Education administration would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform teaching-related administrative tasks, attend meetings and undertake training.
• Provide visual support and assist in communication with students and colleagues.
• Help with accessing software and online university systems for the lecturer.
• Ensure accessibility of books and journal articles for the lecturer's research.
• Work closely with the Senior Lecturer in Linguistics and adapt to funding-based term.
