Job summary

Cardiff University’s School of Optometry and Vision Sciences is recruiting a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer who will deliver and evaluate a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules. The successful candidate will be a GOC-registered optometrist with a passion for education and experience in independent prescribing.

You will join a collaborative academic community that integrates teaching, research, and patient-facing clinics in a purpose-built facility.

Cardiff University, School of Optometry and Vision Sciences is seeking to recruit a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join our supportive academic community.
The School of Optometry and Vision Sciences is proud to be internationally recognised for the quality of its teaching and research. You will work with internationally renowned experts in their field in a purpose-designed building, which brings together teaching, research, and patient-facing clinics together in the one place.
For this post, we are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking GOC registered optometrist who has a passion for education with an ability to develop, deliver and evaluate a range of undergraduate and postgraduate taught modules and programmes.
You should have a postgraduate advanced qualification in Independent Prescribing and/or significant experience in this specialist area.
