An educational institution in London is seeking a full-time Lecturer to teach students with various needs such as profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), and Autism. The ideal candidate will have teaching qualifications and experience in supporting students with these needs, ensuring a holistic approach to education. The role offers a salary ranging from £33,429 to £46,618, inclusive of London Weighting.
We are seeking to appoint a full time Lecturer to teach students with a range of needs such as PMLD, SLD and Autism. You will plan, develop, coordinate and implement individual curriculum programmes for students with profound and multiple learning difficulties, providing a holistic education programme, integrating the physical, academic, social and emotional needs of individual students.
You should possess a minimum level 3 (degree highly desirable) and preferably a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, or be willing to undertake this, supported by the College. A specialist SEN qualification is desirable. You should have experience of providing teaching and learning support to students with ASD, SLD and PMLD and have good working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
