Job summary

University of Manchester seeks a motivated Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Research focused) in Psychology and Mental Health. The role is permanent and contributes to high-quality research and delivering engaging teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The appointee will support curriculum development, student experience, and provide academic guidance while collaborating within the Division and Faculty.

Qualifications

• PhD in psychology, clinical psychology or a related discipline.
• Proven record of high-quality research outputs.
• Track record of obtaining external research funding.
• Evidence of research independence and ability to lead projects.
• Sustained record of teaching, assessment and student support for undergrad/postgrad.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internationally recognized research and publish in leading outlets.
• Apply for and secure external research funds.
• Design and deliver high-quality teaching across programmes.
• Contribute to curriculum development and innovative teaching/assessment.
• Provide academic advising, supervision and pastoral support to students.
