Job summary

Knowsley Community College invites applications for a Lecturer in Maths. This permanent, full-time position covers 22 hours and a salary scale from £17,624 to £23,648 per annum. Start date as soon as possible, with interview dates TBC.

Qualifications

  • Have experience of teaching and motivating FE students.
  • Hold a relevant degree; a higher degree is desirable.
  • Have a relevant teaching qualification or equivalent teaching qualification, or be willing to achieve this qualification within a set period upon appointment
  • Have GCSE Maths and English (A*-C)
  • Be well organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver teaching/ training/ assessment on the courses you teach.
  • Be accountable to the HOS & DHOS for the academic and professional standards, performance and outcomes of the HE/FE/Work-based courses on which you teach.

At St Helens College and Knowsley Community College, the role of a Lecturer includes providing high quality education, training and skills to college students and clients in order to meet the Colleges mission, aims and objectives.

As a lecturer, you will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of teaching / training / assessment on the courses that you teach and accountable to the HOS & DHOS for the academic and professional standards, performance and outcomes of the HE/FE/Work-based courses on which you teach.

The Successful Candidate Must
  • Have experience of teaching and motivating FE students.
