A leading educational institution in Canterbury is seeking a Lecturer of Media to enhance the learning experience for students in the Media department. The role includes planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and supporting learners in achieving their potential. Ideal candidates will exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a passion for media studies, with opportunities for teacher training provided for those new to teaching.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, creative and be able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress, to further plan intervention this will be a vital part of the role and ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.
Ideally you will have experience of teaching or have delivered training in the workplace although this isn't essential as training will be offered to the successful applicant. You must have a positive outlook, be empathetic towards learners and have strong class management skills.
We require knowledge and specialism in Film, TV, radio, media research and media studies. The media department has a local and national reputation for excellence due to the outstanding quality of our teaching and support, resulting in high levels of student aspiration and achievement.
The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of designated study programs and/ or courses from Level 1 up to Level 3 and will be able to motivate learners to achieve and succeed on their programmes of study.
