About the role

We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the post of Lecturer in Applied Linguistics/TESOL.

You will contribute to teaching and related activities on courses offered by the IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education and Society, and provide specialist supervision to research students (MPhil, EdD, and PhD).

In particular, you will develop a postgraduate module on Language Teaching and Technology and contribute to teaching in modules such as Fundamentals of Second and Foreign Language Teaching; Language Testing and Assessment; Materials Development for Language Teaching; Research Methods; and Second Language Acquisition.

About you

You should hold a doctorate in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field, with a proven track record of teaching in Higher Education and experience teaching a second/foreign language.

You should also have significant research achievements and a publication record in TESOL and Applied Linguistics, suitable for future Research Excellence Framework assessments.
