We’re seeking a dynamic Lecturer in Sociology to join our vibrant, academically rich, and interdisciplinary School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The post is an exciting opportunity to join a highly collaborative team of Sociologists nestled between the South Downs National Park, and the coast here in Brighton.
You will need to have a solid knowledge of general sociology as a basis for teaching on a variety of core curriculum areas, across our undergraduate programmes. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a willingness and ability to contribute to a range of teaching across the curriculum, and have a commitment to pastoral care, and supporting students’ development. The role will require you to take over the supervision of final year dissertation students who have already started their projects, providing support for students’ research where necessary.
