Coleg Sir Gâr is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to join our Engineering team at the Graig Campus, Llanelli. This role delivers high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Further Education Mechanical Engineering programmes, alongside commercial and in-company courses for local industry.

The successful candidate will combine theory with practical workshop expertise to deliver industry-focused learning and support learners' progression; teaching

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
• Teaching qualification or commitment to obtain PGCE within two years.
• GCSE English and Maths at minimum Grade C.
• Relevant teaching experience in mechanical engineering.
• High proficiency in industry-standard mechanical engineering software.
• Practical competence with machinery and workshop equipment.

Responsabilités

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons and workshops for FE Mechanical Engineering.
• Conduct practical assessments and examinations per awarding body rules.
• Act as Course Leader, coordinating delivery and communications.
• Work flexible hours including evenings and open events.
• Contribute to external courses and industry projects.
• Maintain links with employers to support work-related learning.
