Job summary

East Midland Institute of Technology, based at Loughborough College, is seeking a Lecturer in Engineering (Higher-Education) to teach Level 4–6 modules to part-time, full-time and Higher Apprenticeship HE students. The role requires industry experience and a willingness to work toward a teaching qualification.

You will be expected to travel to other locations as needed and contribute to quality assurance, delivering engaging learning experiences across diverse cohorts.

Qualifications

• Possess a relevant engineering degree or master in engineering.
• Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
• Willingness to travel to other work locations as often as required.
• Experience in a relevant vocational industry setting (power industry transmission/distribution, high current/voltage applications or operating related equipment).

Responsibilities

• Use industry experience to contextualise learning and develop students' understanding of electrical engineering and power networks.
• Play a key role in quality assurance and quality improvement processes — full training will be provided.
• Deliver high quality and challenging learning experiences.
