Job summary

DN Colleges Group is seeking a Creative Media Lecturer to join our Creative and Digital Technologies team at Doncaster College. The successful candidate will teach across FE programmes, develop learning materials and assess student progress, while supporting curriculum development and quality assurance within the department.

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Creative Media Lecturer to join our Creative and Digital Technologies team. This role involves teaching across a range of further education programmes, supporting learners to achieve their full potential, and contributing to the continued development of the curriculum within Creative Media.


The vacancy

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Creative Media Lecturer to join our Creative and Digital Technologies team. This role involves teaching across a range of further education programmes, supporting learners to achieve their full potential, and contributing to the continued development of the curriculum within Creative Media. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, developing learning materials, assessing student progress and providing guidance and support to learners. You will also contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance activities and the effective running of programmes within the department.


Actual Salary

£20,462.55 - £25,913.25 per annum


Working Pattern

21.5 hours per week / Wednesday - Thursday 8:30am - 5pm Friday 8:30am - 4pm


Key Responsibilities


  • Teach and assess learners across a range of further education courses in Creative Media.

  • Develop curriculum content, learning materials and assessment activities.

Essential Criteria


  • Relevant subject expertise within Creative Media.

  • Appropriate teaching qualification, substantial industry experience, or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.

  • Knowledge and experience of innovative learning and teaching techniques.

  • Ability to support curriculum development, including the effective use of ICT in teaching and learning.

In DN Colleges we call this role Creative Media Lecturer but you might know this as Media Lecturer, Digital Media Lecturer, Media Studies Lecturer, Creative Content Lecturer or Creative Arts Lecturer.

Teaching Qualifications

Applicants are not required to hold a teaching qualification at the point of appointment. However, they must be willing to work towards and achieve a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification within the first 18 months of employment. This qualification must then be maintained through ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD). At DN Colleges Group, a recognised teaching qualification is defined as Level 5 or above.
