Job summary

Knowsley College is seeking a Lecturer in Computing to join our team. The post is permanent and full-time, based across St Helens Town Centre Campus and Knowsley Community College, with a 36-hour week.

You will deliver high-quality teaching and contribute to learner success within a growing Computing curriculum. The successful candidate will have a degree in the subject, a Level 4 qualification, a recognised teaching qualification, and GCSE English and Maths.

LECTURER IN COMPUTING

Permanent, Full-Time: 36 Hours per Week
Salary: £28,839 - £38,697 per annum (Qualified Lecturing Scale)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Computing to join our team, delivering high-quality teaching, training, and skills development. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a growing curriculum area with a strong track record of learner success.

As a Lecturer, you will coordinate, deliver, and assess a range of computing programmes across different levels, ensuring excellent learner outcomes and maintaining high academic standards.

The role will be based across our St Helens Town Centre Campus and Knowsley Community College.

The successful candidate will have:
  • A degree in the relevant subject area
  • A Level 4 qualification in a related field
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve within a specified timeframe)
  • GCSE English and Maths (A*-C or equivalent)
