Choice Teachers in Watford is seeking an experienced Lecturer in Barbering to deliver practical and theory sessions to students pursuing barbering qualifications. This is a part-time role 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

You will teach and assess learners across key vocational units, ensuring high standards of technical skill, professional practice, and health and safety in the salon environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Barbering.
• A recognised Assessors award (e.g., TAQA, A1, D32/D33).
• A Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., CertEd, PGCE, DTLLS) or equivalent.

This is a part-time role running 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), delivering engaging practical and theory sessions to students working towards their barbering qualifications.

Key Responsibilities & Units to Deliver

You will be responsible for teaching and assessing learners across key vocational units, ensuring high standards of technical skill and professional practice:

• Cut men's hair


• Cut facial hair


• Health and safety in the salon environment


• Professional client consultation

Qualifications & Requirements
